Antique Cast Iron Garden Chairs
These uniquely American garden chairs in cast iron are identical to the originals by Robert Wood of Philadelphia (dated ca 1840 - see Barbara Israel p. 169). This set is ca 1900 and has the same lyre back design and scrolled and floral elements (see Alistair Morris "Antiques from the Garden" p.168). They are very comfortable to sit in.
