Our Story
Hi my name is Horst Techmer and I am the owner of Techmer Nursery. I am originally from Germany and I immigrated to the United States in 1968. Growing up in Germany I was schooled in Horticulture and earned a degree in my field of study. I then worked several years in the green industry. I worked for nurseries and landscaping businesses in both Germany and Luxemburg. In 1974 I started my nursery and landscaping business right here in the Hudson Valley. Over the years I raised a family and grew my business. I continue to grow the very best quality plants for my customers. I hope you have a chance to stop by my garden center and see all of the wonderful plants.

We carry liability insurance and NY State workers compensation insurance for our employees.
Herb Techmer is a professional member of the APLD NY Chapter. Currently we are the only landscaping business in the Mid Hudson Valley region that is a member of the APLD.
