Our Story
Hi my name is Horst Techmer and I am the owner of Techmer Nursery. I am originally from Germany and I immigrated to the United States in 1968. Growing up in Germany I was schooled in Horticulture and earned a degree in my field of study. I then worked several years in the green industry. I worked for nurseries and landscaping businesses in both Germany and Luxemburg. In 1974 I started my nursery and landscaping business. Over the years I raised a family and grew my business. I continue to grow the very best quality plants for my customers. I hope you have a chance to stop by my garden center and see all of the wonderful plants.
Hi my name is Herb Techmer and I am the son of Horst Techmer. I am currently the lead designer and manage landscape construction for Techmer Nursery. I have over 15 years of professional hands on experience in the fields of landscape horticulture, landscape design, nursery production and landscape construction. I attended The Ohio State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Horticulture.
